Fiat Chrysler Recalls About 500K Jeep Wrangler SUVs over Faulty Airbags

There’s another airbag recall in the news; and this one is different. Off-roading is the likely culprit, and about half a million SUV’s are being recalled.

    FOX’s Jeff Monosso reports:

Fiat Chrysler says airbags in some 2007 to 2016 Jeep Wrangler’s may not inflate in a crash saying excessive exposure to dust and dirt from off-road driving can cause electrical problems in the steering column airbag wiring.

And if that does happen, the company says Jeep Wrangler owners will see warning lights and should contact their dealer.

Fiat Chrysler says it’s not aware of any related injuries. The problem was found during a company investigation.
