Joey Logano Looking to Pick Up First Win at Kansas Speedway
NASCAR heads to Kansas Speedway for Saturday night racing and the running of the GOBOWLING 400 and making changes to the Chase schedule next year.
FOX’s Marghiee Teshineh with “FOX in the Fast Lane”:
This weekend NASCAR is racing under the lights as drivers head to Kansas. Driver Austin Dillon says his team has been getting better at handling the pressure of getting cars in and out of pit row and back in the race:
(Dillon) “That’s something we’ve struggled with this year. It’s kind of panicking when stuff goes wrong. We’ve been meeting about it for the last couple of weeks, and just trying to figure out, you know, we can’t lose our minds, because sometimes it’s just not your day.”
Tony Stewart will race a full race this weekend after sharing driving duties last week with Ty Dillon who piloted the No. 14 car to a respectable sixth place finish.
Joey Logano winless so far this season, is hoping Kansas will be lucky for him, having won the last two out of the last three races there.
And NASCAR officials are making changes to the Chase race schedule next season. The second round of elimination races had been after Talladega, but now it will be Kansas, as NASCAR hopes to cut down on the number of crashes on the Super Speedway.
