FOX News: John Kasich Will Suspend Campaign
FOX News confirms Ohio governor John Kasich will be suspending his campaign.
The two-term Ohio Governor announced his bid for the Presidency in July 2015 at Ohio State University in Columbus. He won his home state of Ohio, but lost every other contest.
Kasich did take second place in the New Hampshire Republican primary and some polling showed he had a good chance of beating Democrat Hillary Clinton in a general election matchup.
Governor Kasich, viewed as a moderate Republican, supported Common Core education standards, a path to citizenship for illegal immigrants, and Medicaid expansion in Ohio. Just last night Kasich had said he was staying in the race.
