Pro-ISIS Hackers Claim to Have Personal Details of State Department Employees
A pro-ISIS group of hackers is claiming to have personal details of State Department employees.
FOX’s Jared Halpern has more from Washington:
Hackers calling themselves the United Cyber Caliphate announced on social media they hacked the U.S. State Department, releasing personal details and a warning.
The Middle East Research Institute says the employee information includes places of work, zipcodes and phone numbers, noting information that is largely available through open source public records.
The U.S. military, meantime, is increasing cyber efforts. A deputy secretary of defense telling the New York Times we are dropping cyberbombs on ISIS affiliates.
