Massive Drug Tunnel Found on U.S.-Mexico Border
Another massive drug tunnel has been found on the U.S./Mexico border.
FOX’s Jessica Rosenthal has more on where, and what was found:
San Diego area U.S. attorney Laura Duffy says an astute border patrol agent got suspicious after seeing a massive dumpster in an empty lot. Turns out it was hiding the entrance to a massive tunnel that ended under a home in Tijuana.
This tunnel was ventilated as are others:
(Duffy) “We believe it’s the longest tunnel that we’ve discovered in this district to date it’s approximately 874 yards in length.”
Now, seperately in a truck that had been loaded onsite they also recovered:
(Duffy) “2,242 lbs of cocaine and 11,000 lbs of marijuana.”
More marijuana was found in the dumpster. In all six people were arrested including two Cubans and two Mexican nationals.
