Warriors Pick up 72nd Win, Can Break 1995-96 Bulls Record Wednesday

A chance to break an NBA record for one team this week.

The Golden State Warriors’s hopes to break the Chicago Bulls NBA record of 72 wins in one season, still alive, after beating the San Antonio Spurs 92-86 Sunday, tying the Bulls record set in the 1995-1996 season.

(Curry) “Obviously the goal is to win a championship, that’s what we’re playing for. But we’ve put ourselves now in great position to end the season with a win and do something no teams done in history.”

Golden State point guard Steph Curry. The Warriors can break the Bulls record on Wednesday with a win against the Memphis Grizzlies, the final game of the regular season.
