Donald Trump Wants to Bring Back Waterboarding, CIA Isn’t Pleased

The head of the C.I.A. is not pleased with calls from Republican Presidential candidate Donald Trump to bring back waterboarding.

FOX’s Rachel Sutherland reports from Washington:

Trump and Republican rival Ted Cruz have said they’d be willing to use controversial interrogation techniques on terror suspects, but CIA chief John Brennan told NBC News waterboarding will remain off-limits:

(Brennan) ”I would not agree to having any CIA officer carrying out waterboarding again.”

Trump told FOX News he thinks Brennan’s stance is ridiculous:

(Trump) ”We have a huge problem with ISIS which we can’t beat. And the reason we can’t beat them is because we won’t use strong tactics.”

President Obama banned the practice of waterboarding, which makes a person feel like they’re drowning, shortly after he took office in 2009.
