President Obama Won’t Interfere with Justice Department’s Investigation of Hillary Clinton Emails

President Obama says he will not interfere with the Justice Department’s investigation into Hillary Clinton’s private email system from when she was Secretary of State.

FOX’s Rachel Sutherland reports from Washington:

The President told ‘FOX News Sunday’ anchor Chris Wallace he believes the Democratic Presidential hopeful did a good job as Secretary of State, and that he will not use his influence to impact the Justice Department’s probe into the email scandal:

(President Obama) “Nobody gets treated differently when it comes to the Justice Department because nobody is above the law. (Wallace) Even if she ends up the Democratic nominee? (President Obama) How many times do I have to say it Chris? Guaranteed.”

The President’s remarks came less than three months after White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest downplayed a possible indictment of Clinton. Clinton has maintained she never sent of received information marked classified via her personal email system while Secretary of State.
