Supreme Court Rejects Former Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich’s 2011 Corruption Convictions Appeal

Former Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich isn’t going to get any help getting out of prison from the Supreme Court.

FOX’s Jeff Monosso reports from Chicago:

The U.S. Supreme Court has rejected disgraced former Democratic governor Rod Blagojevich’s appeal on his 2011 corruption convictions, including the attempt to sell the appointment of President Barack Obama’s former senate seat.

Blagojevich had five of his 18 convictions thrown out last summer and wanted the remaining convictions also tossed, arguing the line between the legal trading of political favors and bribery has become muddled, potentially exposing politicians everywhere to criminal charges.

The convictions stand as well as Blago’s 14-year prison sentence.
