Testimonies Continue on Flint Water Crisis
Tearful testimony on the Flint water crisis from current and former officials on Capitol Hill.
FOX’s Steve Taylor reports from Washington:
Local, state and federal officials put on the defensive by members of Congress about the lead in Flint’s water supply.
Former city Emergency manager Darnell Earley says he has been vilified and smeared:
(Earley) “Part of my main reason for being here today is to set the record straight.”
Earley says the EPA and state agencies grossly misled city officials about the crisis.
Former EPA regional director Susan Hedman insists she did not downplay warnings from scientists:
(Hedman) “I did not sit on the sidelines.”
Michigan’s Governor Rick Snyder is due to testify on Thursday.
