Cleveland Browns Waive QB Johnny Manziel
Johnny football is out of a job.
FOX’s Kerin McCue reports:
The Cleveland Browns have parted ways with trouble-making quarterback Johnny Manziel. The 2012 Heisman Trophy winner faces an uncertain future in the NFL after spending just two disappointing seasons with the Browns.
A star at Texas A&M, Manziel was a first round draft pick in 2014. But Cleveland’s high hopes for ‘Johnny Football’ were short-lived.
Manziel’s hard-partying ways landed him in rehab last year. The team at first stood by him, but soon decided they’d had enough. He started just eight games, passed for 1,675 yards with seven td’s and seven interceptions.
Off the field, Manziel’s also facing possible criminal charges for a domestic violence incident in Texas.
