Air Force Veteran Convicted of Trying to Join ISIS

An Air Force veteran just convicted of trying to join ISIS.

FOX’s Gurnal Scott reports:

Tairod Pugh was found guilty on a count each of providing support to a terrorist group and obstruction of justice.

It’s the first terror case brought by the Justice Department over the last two years to be decided by a jury. Pugh was detained at a Turkish airport in January 2015. According to the indictment, he was carrying Jihadist propaganda videos.

Investigators also discovered a letter to his wife on a computer admitting he wanted to join ISIS. The trial lasted a week. Deliberations took a day. Pugh will be sentenced in mid-September.
