Subway Footlong Lawsuit Settled in Court

Subway settles out of court, a legal fight over footlongs.

    FOX’s Dave Anthony reports:

The commercials used to be everywhere:

    (Subway) “Five… Five dollar.”

Those footlong subs are now $6 and Subway says it will be sure they are actually a foot long.

A federal judge in Wisconsin last week gave final approval to a settlement that ends a class-action lawsuit over the size of Subway sandwiches.

Filed after an Australian teenager posted a picture on Facebook of a footlong that only measured 11 inches. The ten people involved in the suit will get $500 each and Subway’s parent company agreed to ensure it’s bread is at least 12 inches: A foot long.
