Passenger Files Lawsuit Against Royal Caribbean ‘Anthem of the Seas’

A passenger on board that cruise ship tossed about by an Atlantic storm is hoping to file a class action suit against Royal Caribbean.

FOX’s Gurnal Scott has the story:

In his proposed filing, passenger Michael Winkleman says Royal Caribbean “knew or should have known” about a forecast of hurricane-force winds before cruising into rough seas off North Carolina’s outer banks.

Winkleman’s suit says people on board the ‘Anthem of the Seas’ had to hold on to keep from falling because waves caused severe listing and damaged propulsion.

The incident caused the cancellation of a seven-day Bahamas cruise for about 4,500 passengers. Any of those travelers can be represented in the suit which alleges gross negligence.
