Minnesota Apologizes for Anti-Muslim License Plate
An apology from the state of Minnesota over offensive license plates.
FOX’s Jeff Monosso has more:
The Minnesota Department of Public Safety says personalized license plates that read ”FMUSLMS” should’ve never been issued.
Plates that officials say they’re revoking immediately:
(Yusuf) “Some people are disappointed, some people are angry.”
Muslim activist Haju Yusef shared pictures of the plates on his Facebook page.
(Yusuf) “Everybody is talking about it, somebody should have paid attention and asked questions.”
Even Minnesota Gov. Mark Dayton saying he’s appalled that the plates were issued to an unidentified man from Big Lake in Central Minnesota by the state that’s now reviewing how is issues personalized plates.
