Australia Cracking Down on Unemployed People
Unemployed Australian’s need to have a good excuse not to take a job.
FOX’s Rich Denison explains:
Australia’s cracking down on unemployed people who have creative excuses for not taking jobs.
The government tightening unemployment eligibility rules to encourage an increasing number of jobless to go to work.
Officials revealing some excuses Australian job hunters have given, include a 58-year-old who couldn’t work Sunday’s, because it would conflict with his golf game. A 19-year-old who found working would interfere with his aspirations to become an actor and a 26-year-old who claimed he couldn’t work with chickens.
In the land down under, refusing a job offer without a good excuse means eight weeks without an unemployment check.
