White House Looking to Upgrade Cyber Security
The White House wants to upgrade cyber security.
FOX’s Steve Taylor reports from Washington:
President Obama says government information technology is like an Atari game in an Xbox world, leading too often to cyber theft such as last year’s loss of data about millions of federal employees.
He is asking Congress to add $19-billion to the federal budget to overhaul computer systems, hire more cyber professionals, and work more closely with private industry to detect threats. He also wants to hire a Chief Information Security Officer for the government, a position he says most major companies have already set up.
