Russia Arrests ISIS Militants Tied to Plotting Bomb Attacks
Russia makes arrests saying it’s busted a group of ISIS extremists.
FOX’s Simon Owen reports from the European bureau:
The Russian security service the FSB saying seven ISIS militants have been charged with plotting bomb attacks in both Moscow and St Petersburg.
A statement saying investigators found a bomb-making lab as they searched the suspects’ homes, also uncovering detonators, grenades, guns, and extremist literature.
Some of the suspects are said to be Russian citizens. Others are from countries in Central Asia.
Like many European countries, Russia says a number of its nationals have traveled to Syria to join ISIS, putting the figure at around 3,000.
