State Department Withholds Several Hillary Clinton ‘Top Secret’ Emails
The State Department confirmed several Hillary Clinton emails under review contain information too “top secret” to release in any form, while at the same time delaying the release of thousands of other pages.
FOX’s Jon Decker has more:
The decision by the State Department to withhold the emails, and not provide even a partial release with redactions, undercuts claims by the Department and the Clinton campaign that none of the intelligence in the emails was classified when it hit Mrs. Clinton’s personal server.
However White House spokesman Josh Earnest expressed confidence that Clinton had done nothing wrong:
(Earnest) “What I know that some of those officials over there have said is that she is not a target of the investigation. So that does not seem to be the direction it’s trending.”
The number of emails found to contain classified information has already surpassed 1,300.
