Nissan Recalling Over 800,000 Altimas

Nissan is recalling some cars again.

They’ve been recalled twice before, already, 846,000 Nissan Altimas, 2013 to ’15 model years with a latch problem that can let the hood fly open while the car is driving.

Nissan says the paint can flake off, leading bare metal to rust. Two previous recalls had dealers adjusting latches and applying lubricant, but if that wasn’t done just right, the problem persists.

Owners are being notified, Nissan will replacing the latches for free starting next month.
