New York General Attorney Admits Getting Concert Tickets Online is a Fixed Game

Even if you’re online immediately when concert or game tickets go on sale, you can get shut out.
New York’s Attorney General Eric Schneiderman says that may be because more than half the tickets are reserved for ticket industry insiders.
His report yesterday says it’s a fixed game, made even more difficult by illegal ticket-bots that scour ticket vendor sites and scoop up huge volumes of tickets.
Those later get marked up by as much as 1,000 percent. No wonder some tickets for U2’s concert last summer in New York City cost $670.
