Golden Globe Nominations Announced

The 2016 Golden Globe Nominations are out. The ceremony will be held January 10, 2017 and will be hosted by Ricky Gervais.

FOX’s Ashley Dvorkin has the details:

Leading the way with big screen Golden Globe nominations is: “Carol”.

(“Carol”) “Oh God, don’t… I look a fright.// You do not. You look wonderful.”

Starring Cate Blanchett and Rooney Mara. The film received five nods total.

It’s up for Best Motion Picture Drama along with this season’s much discussed “Spotlight”… as well as “Mad Max: Fury Road”, “The Revenant” and “Room”.

Going for gold in the category of Best Motion Picture Musical or Comedy are “The Big Short”, “Joy”, “The Martian”, “Spy” and “Trainwreck”. 

The Globes honor the best of both film and TV.
