Report Says Secret Service is an ‘Agency in Crisis’
A new report concludes the Secret Service is a deeply troubled agency.
FOX’s Rachel Sutherland reports from Washington:
An “agency in crisis”… That’s how a new House Oversight Committee report describes the Secret Service, the report found there have been 143 security breaches, or attempted breaches, at facilities secured by agents.
The report finds fault with Secret Service leadership. It also cites budget cuts, which have led to what the committee describes as a “staffing crisis”.
The bipartisan report says the agency’s recent public failures are not a series of isolated events, but the product of an insular culture that has historically been resistant to change.
