Jury Seated in First Freddie Gray Trial
A jury has been seated in the Freddie Gray trial in Baltimore.
FOX’s Rachel Sutherland reports:
After two days of screening, eight women and four men were chosen as jurors in the trial of William Porter, one of six Baltimore police officers charged in the death of Freddie Gray.
Eight of the jurors are black. Four are white. In addition, four alternates were selected, one white man and three black men.
Porter has pleaded not guilty to manslaughter and misconduct charges.
Prosecutors say the 26-year-old should have gotten Freddie Gray medical help when he was injured in police custody last Spring… He died a week later. Protesters reacted violently, sparking days of unrest in Baltimore.
