Jimmie Johnson Wins at Texas Motor Speedway
Jimmie Johnson takes the checkered flag in Texas Sunday, as the Chase continues.
FOX News’ Rich Denison reports:
Brad Keselowski led for more than 300 laps in Texas, eyeing a victory to give him a spot in the Chase for the Sprint Cup championship, but Jimmie Johnson charged after a final restart with 18 laps to go, taking the checkered flag in Texas for the fourth straight year.
(Announcer) “Johnson wins at Texas again…”
The call on NBC… Johnson is out of the Chase, but looking forward to the final races…
(Johnson) “Wish I was fighting for the championship, but to get a win here does a lot for everybody Hendrick Motorsports.”
Three spots are still up for grabs in Phoenix, the last race before the season finale on November 22 at Homestead-Miami Speedway.
