Former President Jimmy Carter Continues to Battle Cancer

Former President Jimmy Carter says he’s still doing well as he keeps battling cancer.

    Fox News’ Dave Anthony reports:

Jimmy Carter says so far so good:

(Carter) “I’ve already had radiation treatment on the four places in my brain.”

But the former President says they don’t know yet how well that went but:

(Carter) “They removed about 1/10 of my liver and they think that was completely successful.”

    Carter also tells the AP:

(Carter) “I’ve taken a medicine now that stimulates my immune system.”

And Carter, who just turned 91 last month, says he’s not felt sick or uncomfortable… So:

(Carter) “We haven’t cut back on my schedule yet.”

Carter’s in Memphis wearing his hard hat and tool belt helping build yet another home with Habitat for Humanity.

No ex-President has lived longer out of office than Carter. It’ll be 35 years in January.
