Republican Party Suspends Relationship with NBC News

Fallout from this week’s Republican presidential debate… The Republican Party is suspending it’s relationship with NBC News.

FOX News Radio’s Jared Halpern has more from Washington:

The Republican National Committee is suspending its partnership with NBC News for a February debate scheduled for Houston.

In a letter to the network’s news chief, RNC Chairman Reince Priebus says the decision comes because CNBC conducted a debate in bad faith; adding while debates are meant to include tough questions CNBC’s moderators engaged in a series of gotcha questions in a mean-spirited tone designed to embarrass Republican candidates.

Preibus says the RNC still intends to have a debate in February.

“This is a disappointing development. However, along with our debate broadcast partners at Telemundo we will work in good faith to resolve this matter with the Republican Party.”
