Kenseth Looks To Kansas As NASCAR’s Chase Continues
It’s off to the Jayhawk State as a key race in Kansas could go a long way to determining who might qualify for the next round of The Chase.
FOX News Radio’s Steve Rappoport gives you the lowdown in this week’s “FOX in the Fast Lane”:
Fans of ribs and racing should expect an action packed race at Kansas Speedway with Talladega looming next week.
Joey Logano is breathing a sigh of relief after last week’s win at Charlotte.
While Matt Kenseth’s 42nd place finish has the driver of the No. 20 Toyota thinking one thing… Survive and advance.
(Kenseth) “You want to win every week and obviously you can’t do that so if you can’t get a win at one of those tracks you certainly want to make sure you get as many points as you can gather those two weeks.”
Driver Carl Edwards is in good position to move to the next round. Currently sixth in points, he admits there’s no secret formula for winning at Kansas.
(Edwards) “If I knew what to do to win at Kansas I would have done it by now… we’ve been really close… you’ve really got to do everything right and have a little bit of luck to win at Kansas.”
Or… Maybe the contender field should just follow Ryan Newman’s advice as the man driving for Richard Childress Racing knows one way to get into victory lane…
(Newman) “Be better than everybody else.”
