Connecticut School Reverses Decision Over Cancelling Halloween Parade
Frightened over losing a Halloween tradition… spooked parents in Connecticut fight back.
FOX News Radio’s Dave Anthony reports:
When the Superintendent in Milford, Connecticut, cancelled Halloween parades in elementary schools…
(Connor) “I was mad and it got me really angry.”
Connor is in third grade and his mom was upset too…
(Mother) “Because it’s just not right.”
The Superintendent says the concern was over students who don’t participate for religious or other reasons, being excluded or feeling left out, but Rebecca Lilley countered…
(Lilley) “The parade is open to everybody, if you choose not to participate in the parade, that’s your choice.”
She helped lead a petition drive and the Superintendent relented, reversing the decision, so the Halloween parades are back on in Milford October 30.
