South Carolina Begins Recovery From Floods
South Carolina is slowly starting to recover from the historic rains and flooding which hit the area.
FOX News Radio’s Eben Brown has the story:
Power is on, government offices are open, the airports are functioning. Nine disaster recovery centers are open throughout the state to assist residents with getting their affairs in order to rebuild…
But there’s no good number yet on how much this is all going to cost, says Gov. Nikki Haley.
(Haley) “You’ve got assessment numbers on damage to private property. You’ve got assessment numbers on damage to infrastructure. You’ve got assessment numbers on loss of jobs and employments, so there’s all types. You’ve got assessment numbers on claims.”
And a little more than 300 people are still in shelters, however.
