Report: American Journalist Accused as a Spy in Iran is Convicted

An American journalist accused as a spy in Iran has reportedly been convicted.

FOX News Radio’s Jessica Golloher has more on the story:

Jason Rezaian has allegedly been convicted of espionage and other charges.

A spokesman for the Iranian Judiciary says the Washington Post Bureau Chief can appeal the conviction within 20 days. Rezaian’s lawyer says he hasn’t received a verdict.

Rezaian faced a closed-door trial widely criticized by the U.S. and Press Freedom organizations. He reportedly faces up to 20 years in prison. He has been detained for more than a year.
