Arkansas Execution On Hold Due to Fight Over Lethal Injections

Executions are on hold in another state in another legal fight over lethal injections…

FOX News Radio’s Lisa Brady has the story:

Less than two weeks from now Arkansas was planning two executions, its first in a decade. Instead, all eight of the state’s scheduled executions are on hold.

A county circuit court judge issuing a stay as inmates challenge a secrecy law that shields the manufacturers and sellers of Arkansas’ execution drugs from being made public.

The inmates’ lawyers arguing withholding information raises the risk of unconstitutional pain and suffering. They also cite neighboring Oklahoma, where executions had already been halted because of the wrong drug being delivered to corrections officials. An autopsy later revealing the wrong drug was used for an execution in January.
