FOX In The Fast Lane – Pepsi Max 400 at Fontana. FOX News Radio’s Marghiee Teshineh Reports
The drivers will be doing a little California dreaming, as the Chase enters week 4 and stops at Fontana for the Pepsi Max 400 at the Auto Club Speedway. FOX News Radio’s Marghiee Teshineh has more with “FOX In The Fast Lane.”
Some racetracks hold special meaning for drivers. Just ask Washington state native Greg Biffle about driving at Fontana, and he’ll say it’s all about geography and being from the west coast.
For points leader Jimmie Johnson, Fontana is where his most memorable victories happened - including his first win ever. A fact not lost on Kyle Busch, who says California’s track is a great fit for the 4-time defending champ.
And good news for Richard Childress Racing, bad news for Clint Bowyer. NASCAR’s chief appellate officer, upholding the 150-point deduction against Bowyer.
But RCR crew chief Shane Wilson’s $150,000 fine is reduced to $100,000. And Wilson and car chief Chad Haney’s race suspensions drop from 6 to 4 races.
