FBI Says Dylann Roof Should Not Have Been Able To Buy Gun
The accused gunman in the Charleston church shooting should not have been legally able to get a gun. That from the FBI Chief, who says mistakes were made.
FOX News Radio’s Eben Brown explains:
FBI Director James Comey says an arrest on the record of admitted Charleston shooter Dylann Roof did not appear on a federal background check done when Roof purchased the gun he would eventually use in the attack.
He says it was a problem with incomplete and inaccurate paperwork and that had it been filed improperly by the arresting law enforcement agency, Roof would not have been able to legally purchase the firearm.
Roof insists it was he who shot and killed nine people inside Charleston’s historically black Emanuel AME Church, allegedly with racist motivations.
