Some last minute additions have turned the 2015 CMT Music Awards in Nashville into a showcase of country music’s biggest and best.

FOX News Radio’s Michelle Pollino reports from Nashville:

Reba McEntire and Darius Rucker have been added to an already stellar list of country performers hitting the stage at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville for the CMT Awards at 8pm ET.

CMT executive John Hamlin says artists love playing this event cause the fans are in the front on the floor.

(Hamlin) “CMT Music Awards… it’s just not as structured as the other big country music awards shows. And there’s a little bit of chaos that happens on the floor and that’s what artists like — it reminds them of playing festivals.”

Carrie Underwood leads the pack with five nominations in three categories — Lady Antebellum and Kenny Chesney have four nods each.

The six finalists for ‘Video of the Year’ will be announced at the beginning of the live show and fans can then vote throughout the show for the night’s big winner.
