Highest Paid CEOs
CEOs still make a lot more than the other workers at the companies they run – but the gap has narrowed slightly.
FOX News Radio’s Dave Anthony reports:
For every dollar an average worker earns, a company’s chief executive makes $205. A gap that narrowed last year from 2013, when the ratio was $257 to one, because average wages actually grew more than CEOpay. The Associated Press calculations have also ranked the Top Ten Best Paid CEOs.
David Zaslav is No. 1. He heads up Discovery Communications:
(Zaslav) “For us… our real focus is high quality content.”
The $156 million he made last year is almost triple what Les Moonves earned at CBS, he is second. The CEOsof Viacom, Disney and Yahoo are next. Six of the Top Ten are media executives.
CEOcompensation includes salary, stock and option awards, perks and bonuses.
