Widow Says Southwest Denied Her A Call To Her Suicidal Husband
A woman from Milwaukee says a Southwest Airlines flight crew wouldn’t let her call her husband after he texted her and said he was going to kill himself. When her flight landed back home in Milwaukee, he was already dead.
Dan O’Donnell with FOX News Radio affiliate WISN reports from Milwaukee:
Karen Momsen-Evers says she was on a Southwest plane about to take off a girls weekend in New Orleans when her husband texted her ‘Karen, please forgive me for what I am about to do, I am going to kill myself’.
She jumped out of her seat to call him and she says the steward slapped the phone out of her hand and wouldn’t let her call until she landed back home in Milwaukee. When she did, a police officer told her her husband had already killed himself.
Southwest has issued a statement apologizing.
