Where’s The Waste? 2015 Pig Book Examines Government Spending
A group is out with its annual report on wasteful government spending.
FOX News Radio’s Rachel Sutherland reports from Washington:
Citizens Against Government Waste says there is plenty of pork barrel spending in the 2015 “Pig Book”… including $120 million to upgrade the Army’s hulking, 70-ton Abrams tank, which the Army doesn’t even want anymore.
Also $6 million was spent on the East-West Center in Hawaii — built to promote better relations with Pacific and Asian nations — when it already receives funding from private foundations and institutions.
Also in the “Pig Book” — $15 million to to “save the salmon”, through the Pacific Coastal Salmon Recovery Fund.
