Al-Marayati: Pamela Geller Got What She Wanted
Monday on “The Alan Colmes Show,” Alan spoke with Muslim Public Affairs Council President Salam Al-Marayati to talk about the two men who were shot dead outside of an event promoting a “Mohammed Cartoon” contest in Texas.
Alan and Al-Marayati both felt that event organizer Pamela Geller got what she wanted, which was to cause controversy and provoke an unfortunate incident. They also talked about how they both believe in the event organizers having the right to say what they want about Muslims, but the group was not acting in the interest of free speech. Al-Marayati also felt that there is no political price for insulting Muslims and that ISIS and anti-Islam activists want the same thing, which is a cultural war.
