First Grader Reportedly Brings Heroin To School

Police are searching for answers after heroin turns up at an elementary school.

FOX News Radio’s Lilian Woo reports:

A first grader in a Philadelphia lunchroom, packing some very dangerous product according to school officials: Baggies of heroin — More than a dozen of them.

(Morales) “I noticed something was going on because there’s usually not cops like that at the school.

Adelaida Morales, who lives across the street from William Cramp Elementary School in Fairhill has a child in fifth grade there.

Officials say the first grader tried to hide the baggies, but two other children alerted teachers and DARE officers stepped in to help.

Four kids taken to the hospital as a precaution, though school officials say they had opened the baggies or ingested anything.

It’s not clear where the child got the heroin. Philadelphia police are investigating.
