With Texas Coming Up, Could Denny Hamlin Get Back-To-Back Wins?
It’s Saturday night racing at Texas Motor Speedway and this year’s running of the Duck Commander 500. Denny Hamlin looking for back-to-back wins, safety measures in place at Texas, Kyle Larson cleared to race and a big honor for Rick Hendrick.
FOX News Radio’s Marghiee Teshineh reports in “FOX in the Fast Lane”:
NASCAR is racing this week at Texas Motor Speedway and driver Denny Hamlin thinks even with his great record at short tracks, mile and a half tracks like Texas is where his team shines:
(Hamlin) ”Really for the last year and a half if we have had any strong suit at all, it’s been on the bigger tracks.”
Texas becomes the latest track to follow the safety recommendations and guidance from NASCAR to install additional tire barriers in advance of this weekend’s race, which Austin Dillon thinks is smart:
(Dillon) ”It’s good see NASCAR and all the tracks working together to keep the drivers safe.”
Kyle Larson gets the okay to race this weekend at Texas after he fainted and doctors sidelined him to run tests. Turns out it was dehydration and Larson promised from now on:
(Larson) “Just gotta do a better job of taking care myself and that should never happen again.”
And Hendrick Motorsports, team owner Rick Hendrick gets inducted this week into the Texas Motorsports Hall of Fame.
