Very familiar to anyone who lives where it’s used in places where there’s a lot of snow and ice that needs to be cleared from streets and highways.
Not only does it dirty up the pretty parts of your car in a hurry… it’s what it does to the underside of your vehicle that has the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration concerned.
They conducted a five year investigation into why pipes that carry brake fluid were rusting on older model Chevys, Cadillacs, GMC pickups and SUV’s.
It turns out the problem wasn’t the manufacturers fault — it was all that road salt that built up inside those vehicles that was never, or rarely ever, washed away!
So listen to your Uncle Sam… And clean your undercarriage!
