TX Trooper Ordered To Get Counseling After Posing For Pic With Snoop Dogg
A Texas trooper pays a price for striking a pose.
FOX News Radio’s Steve Rappoport explains.
Department of Public Safety Trooper Billy Spears was working at a music festival in Austin, when rapper Snoop Dogg asked to take a picture with him. But, Spears got a bad rap when Snoop posted the shot on Instagram.
(Clevenger) “He was served with papers saying that, essentially, he was being chastised for it.”
Spears’s attorney Ty Clevenger says the trooper has no recourse, but to accept it.
(Clevenger) “This can affect his career.”
The department cited Spears for posing with a known criminal and ordered him to get counseling.
(Clevenger) “He did know who Snoop was, he just didn’t know about his criminal record.”
The rapper has several convictions for drug violations.
