Facebook Clarifies Rules For Nudity And Content

Ever had a picture of a post removed from Facebook? The social media giant is explaining why that may have happened as they clarify their guidelines and rules…

FOX News Radio’s Jessica Rosenthal reports:

Facebook says it removes specific threats to people. Terrorists and organized criminals can’t have Facebook pages and content from their fans is removed, too. They also remove close up photos of private body parts, though they do allow breast feeding or post mastectomy scarring photos.

(Caplan) “Facebook is a private corporation they can decide what their rules are. If people don’t like their rules, they can take their business elsewhere. They can talk to Facebook and try to convince them to change their rules.”

That’s Loyola Law School of Los Angeles professor Aaron Caplan.

Facebook says they’ve received an overall increase in requests for content to be removed; countries like Russia and Turkey lead the way, and the number of government requests for account data went down in the U.S. but up in India.
