TX Prison Bus Strikes Train In Deadly Crash
A deadly wreck in West Texas as a prison bus falls onto train.
FOX News Radio’s Eben Brown reports:
The prison van was headed down I-20 from Abilene to El Paso when it went off an overpass and onto a moving train in the tiny town of Penwell, near Odessa.
(Maples) “They’re reporting ten dead, the last I heard. And there were a total of fifteen in the wreck.”
That’s Leland Maples, who works with a prison support group in Odessa. The Texas Department of Criminal Justice says eight prisoners and two corrections officers were killed. No word on the condition of the survivors.
