President Obama Imposes Sanctions on North Korea
President Obama imposing new sanctions on North Korea over the Sony hacking.
FOX News Radio’s Rachel Sutherland reports from Washington:
They say the pen is mightier than the sword and today , President Obama used his pen to issue an executive order authorizing additional sanctions on North Korea, in response to the apparent hack attack on Sony Pictures.
The order escalates financial pressure on Pyongyang by allowing the Secretary of the Treasury to impose sanctions on individuals and entities associated with the North Korean government.
President Obama promised a “proportional” response to the cyberattack and the White House says this is the first step to making good on that promise.
