Delta Baggage Handler Arrested In Alleged Gun Smuggling Plot

A Delta baggage handler is busted for special cargo that he’s accused of smuggling on flights.

The baggage handler is accused of helping smuggle weapons onto commercial flights to New York City. Eugene Harvey now charged with trafficking firearms and violating airport security.

A former Delta employee, fired in 2010, has also been arrested in the scheme after an undercover agent bought a gun.

Federal authorities say the two men smuggled guns onto airplanes several times, and between May and December, supplied more than 100 hand guns and assault rifles to a co-conspirator, who in turn made that sale to the undercover agent.
