Ambassador John Bolton Stunned By President Obama Normalizing Relations With Cuba

John Bolton

Former U.S. Ambassador to the UN John Bolton joined Brian to discuss the U.S. taking steps to normalize relations with Cuba.

Bolton is stunned that President Obama is prepared to announce that we will be normalizing relations with Cuba for the first time since Fidel Castro seized power in 1959. Bolton said he is troubled that America is appeasing an authoritative government and believes it sends a signal to our adversaries around the world that they don’t have to give up much to get a favorable deal from America. Bolton said Cuba is still a threat to America because they are strengthening their relations with Russia and North Korea.

Turning to yesterday’s terror attack by the Taliban in Pakistan, Bolton said he is worried that the Taliban may take control of Pakistan, leading to another country controlled by terrorists in the Middle East. Bolton said that the situation in Pakistan needs the full attention from President Obama.
