America Eyeing To Host 2024 Summer Olympics
America is trying to get back in the business of hosting Olympics.
FOX News Radio’s Ron Flatter reports.
After sitting out the bidding for 2020, the U.S. will try again to host the Olympics.
(Probst) ” Our board voted unanimously today to move forward with a bid from the United States for the 2024 summer Olympic Games.”
U.S. Olympic Committee Board Chairman Larry Probst.
Two-time host Los Angeles is bidding; as are Boston, San Francisco and Washington.
But, only one U.S. candidate can be submitted.
(Probst) “We have not yet reached a decision on which city we’re going to put forward.”
That decision perhaps next month will determine the city that goes against Rome, a German candidate and maybe Paris.
The final choice comes in two-and-a-half years.
