Mike Nichols, Director of “The Graduate,” Dies
He was big on Broadway and in Hollywood. Legendary director Mike Nichols has died.

During a career spanning more than 50 years, Mike Nichols, who was married to ABC’s Diane Sawyer, gave the entertainment industry some of its biggest hits from Who’s Afraid of Virginia Wolfe, to The Graduate, to Angels in America.
On Broadway, he directed Barefoot in the Park and his work brought him an Academy Award, a Grammy — and nine Tony’s, as well as several Emmy honors.
